Im simple and bit poor
But humble little guy
Live near the borders
Of two countries that always fight…
Don’t expect from me too much
Im just a little boy
I don’t know Im unaware
Of the nits and grits of fight…
I roam around in sun
Watch the birds fly in sky
They fly from east, and go to west
With no terror they do ply…
The river comes from north
And flows down to south
Across country across borders
It doesn’t think of HOW…
The wind blows all around
And rain too falls on both grounds
It doesn’t think which land is best
Then why humans are stuck in mess?
I totally unaware; play with my friends
When one of them kicks ball high in air
And I go across the border to bring my football
The lovely one my mamma bought…
And when I went across the fence
Chicks scampered to search their hens
I find things just all the same
Just different country with different name…
And tick-tock blaoh, came a sound
I hurt my leg, I didn’t know how
Shocked, afraid, as I nearly faint
I see people rushing, with their canes…
Eyes closed since infinity
When eyes opened I do pity
Myself; no things aren’t thee same
I went for my ball but land up in jail…
I scream, I shout, I plead guilty
Wail, in tears, say “Please Leave Me!”
But the bullets done its damage, I’m no more me
As I watch in horror, blood oozing out from me…
And only one question I have to ask
Why is to bring back ball, is a task?
If rivers may cross and birds may fly
And winds may blow then why humans should die???
